he Story of Giorgio & Dany — From Erasmus to an Idea
It all started with an Erasmus in Barcelona.
Giorgio, a curious and energetic Italian student, left for six months abroad — ready to learn Spanish, meet new people, and live an adventure. What he didn’t know was that this trip would change his life forever.
As soon as he arrived, he met Dany, his first flatmate. Dany had been living in Barcelona for a while — he knew every corner of the city, the hidden bars, the beach parties, and that sense of freedom that only Barcelona can give. They became instant friends.
For Giorgio, Barcelona was a revelation.
The international vibe, the people, the music, the endless nights — it was a place full of life, connections, and possibilities. But as every Erasmus experience goes, those six months flew by. He had to return to Rome, finish his studies, and move on… or at least, try to.
A year later, degree in hand but heart still in Catalonia, Giorgio decided to go back. Barcelona was calling — and Dany was still there, searching for his own direction.
One day, by coincidence, they met a friend who owned a small bar downtown.
“Guys,” he said, “you know tons of Erasmus students — why don’t you help me bring some people to the place?”
That simple question sparked everything.
Giorgio and Dany started organizing events and meetups for international students, creating spaces where people could meet, share experiences, and feel part of a real community.
What began as a small idea quickly turned into a project — a way to connect people from all over the world, to make them feel at home, and to experience Barcelona in its most authentic way.
From an Erasmus, a friendship, and a small bar, an idea was born.
An idea that keeps growing — with the same passion, the same energy, and that unstoppable love for life that only those who have truly lived Barcelona can understand.
